The frame is all-marine-grade aluminum, powder-coated matte black, with every other panel finished in naturally anodized aluminum — the contrast between the black frame and bright aluminum gives the machine a striking, commanding presence. The HPDI fuel injector draws 12 amps at 1 ohm, so testing eight low-impedance injectors, or all six Optimax injectors, at once is not an issue — and holding 80 PSI on Bosch 210 / 2200cc high-flow injectors is no problem either.

A resistance test should always be run before flowing an injector, and the M-5000 makes that simple with a built-in ohm meter — press one button and the display reads out the values. It's not only the best-looking fuel injector tester on the market, it's also one of the most powerful.
